Culberson optioned to Triple-A

ANAHEIM — The Dodgers optioned infielder Charlie Culberson to Triple-A Oklahoma City in order to make room for right-handed pitcher Mike Bolsinger, who started Wednesday’s game at Angel Stadium.
Culberson had seen the majority of his usage as Corey Seager’s backup at shortstop. In 15 games and seven starts with the Dodgers, he was 7-for-27 with two doubles and four RBIs. With Culberson out, Kiké Hernandez will be the team’s next option behind Seager.
“It was a tough decision. The number one component was to get Mike up here,” manager Dave Roberts said. “Culberson did a lot of good things for us, but that was the move that made the most sense.”
