Matz ready to rejoin rotation with Friday start

NEW YORK — The sore left elbow that forced Steven Matz from his scheduled start Saturday in Denver should not sideline him any longer than that. Matz threw a routine bullpen session Wednesday at Citi Field, saying afterward that he felt confident about making his next start Friday against the Brewers.
