Transfer QB Webb snubs Colorado, picks Cal

Former Texas Tech quarterback Davis Webb is transferring to California, Webb confirmed to ESPN on Wednesday.
Webb, a graduate transfer, will be eligible to play this fall and will compete to replace Jared Goff, who was selected by the Los Angeles Rams with the first overall pick in the NFL draft last month.
The 6-4, 230-pound Webb committed in January to play at Colorado. However, because he was still enrolled at Texas Tech for the spring semester, his commitment was non-binding.
Darrin Chiaverini, who recruited Webb for Colorado, took to Twitter on Wednesday to say he supported Webb’s decision.
