1st seed Dominic Thiem had an easy opener in Nice, breezes past Leonardo Mayer 6-3 6-0 in just 61 minutes. Title holder is seeking for his 3rd ATP title of the season, choosing to play in the last week before the Roland Garros gets away rather than take some rest like other top players. He saved all 3 break points today, in what was to be a much tighter match, at least on the paper, and he broke Mayer 4 times in succession to seal the match. …
