Teams unveiled as countdown to World League enters final 30 days

Lausanne, Switzerland, May 18, 2016 – The full squad lists for all FIVB Volleyball World League 2016 teams are now online with the 27th tournament just 30 days away.
Thirty-six teams are set to compete in the biggest edition of the competition ever with each roster including 25 players.
This year’s World League will have a different format from previous years, with a shortened edition to accommodate teams taking part in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
The Intercontinental Round will adopt the same format as the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix Preliminary Round in 2016 with three different venues hosting matches over each of the three weeks of play.
Defending champions France have retained the core players that helped them sweep to a maiden World League title in 2015 as Earvin Ngapeth, Benjamin Toniutti, Antonin Rouzier and Kevin Tillie all make the line-up. The side will be aiming to make it back-to-back titles to go along with the European Championship they also won last year.
Brazil – who will undoubtedly have one eye on the Rio 2016 Olympic Games at home in August – will be led once again by Bruno “Bruninho” Rezende alongside the likes of Murilo Endres, Wallace de Souza and Sergio Santos.
