Alex Rodriguez not ready, and not happy about it

PHOENIX — The signs were ominous from the moment the door to the New York Yankees clubhouse opened after their 5-3 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks. There was a frowning Alex Rodriguez walking with team trainer Steve Donohue, the two of them engaged in deep and not happy conversation.
A few moments later, the reason became clear: A-Rod, who the Yankees had hoped to reinstate to their roster Thursday when he becomes eligible to come off the disabled list, is going to need a few more days. At least.
