SA TOP JUNIORS SET FOR THEIR FIRST WORLD TEAM CUP

South African wheelchair tennis top juniors Alwande Skhosana (world number three) from Kwa-Zulu Natal and Ian Snyman from Hartbeespoort Dam in the North West Province jets off on Friday to Japan. The 15-year-olds will take part in the BNP Paribus World Team Cup to be contested in Tokyo from 23-28 May after South Africa was awarded the wild card for the junior event.
The country will contest the junior event for the fourth time and for the first time since 2013. Snyman, the world number thirteen who will make his international debut in Japan says this trip will be the highlight of his career.“I cannot believe that I have been chosen to represent South Africa at such a huge event, never mind the opportunity to play oversees for the first time,” commented Snyman. “When I took up wheelchair tennis I never thought I will ever get to compete abroad.” Snyman said he looks forward to …
