Moran and Gattis called up, Gomez placed on DL

CHICAGO — The Astros called up third-base prospect Colin Moran to join the team Tuesday night for the game against the White Sox. In addition, catcher Evan Gattis was recalled from Double-A Corpus Christi and outfielder Carlos Gomez was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a bruised left rib cage.
To make room for Moran on the 40-man roster, the Astros designated right-handed pitcher Asher Wojciechowski for assignment.
