HUGE NIGHT FOR HAWRYLUK
In game five of the Western Hockey League finals, Jayce Hawryluk stepped up in a major way, recording six points (3-3-6), including a hat trick to fuel the Brandon Wheat Kings to a 8-4 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds and win the Ed Chynoweth Cup for the first time since 1996. Hawryluk recorded two assists before scoring his first goal of the game in the second period. His third and final assist of the contest set up Nolan Patrick’s game-winning goal.
The fiery forward finished the postseason with 30 points (7-23-30) in 21 games, averaging 1.43 points per game.
