Bevington leaves Aston Villa

Adrian Bevington has left his advisory position at Aston Villa.

The former Football Association executive was brought into the club in March by former director David Bernstein to help conduct a review of Villa’s season and implement the changes that arise from it.

Villa are searching for a new manager following Remi Garde’s departure at the end of March, with Eric Black taking temporary charge in the final weeks of a desperate campaign that saw the club finish bottom of the Premier League.

Bernstein and Mervyn King resigned from the board following confirmation of the relegation last month, both having only been at Villa Park since March and February respectively.
