Boxcino champs Monroe, Thompson will meet

Former ESPN Boxcino tournament champions and world title challengers Willie Monroe Jr. and John Thompson will meet in a 10-round middleweight fight June 11 at the Turning Stone Casino Resort in Verona, New York, Banner Promotions announced on Monday.
The fight will air on Showtime Extreme (7 p.m. ET/PT) as part of the undercard of the Showtime-televised Ruslan Provodnikov-John Molina Jr. junior welterweight main event. The Showtime Extreme portion of the card will also feature Andrey Fedosov (28-3, 23 KOs), the 2015 Boxcino heavyweight tournament winner, against Mario Heredia (13-1, 11 KOs) in a 10-rounder.
Willie Monroe Jr. will face John Thompson in a 10-round middleweight fight that will be his first since suffering a sixth-round knockout against Gennady Golovkin. Banner Promotions
