Manchester United Transfer News: Romelu Lukaku, Lucas Biglia, Latest Rumours
- Updated: May 16, 2016
Manchester United have reportedly been dealt a blow in their respective pursuits of Everton’s Romelu Lukaku and Lazio’s Lucas Biglia, but they could be preparing a big-money deal for Alvaro Morata if he returns to Real Madrid from Juventus.
Per the Sun’s Mike McGrath, Paris Saint-Germain are hoping to capitalise on Lukaku’s desire for UEFA Champions League football, which could dent United’s hopes of landing him, as they will surely miss out on the competition barring a freak result against Bournemouth in their final league match of the season.
According to the Express (h/t Eurosport’s Tom Bennett), the Belgian is one of the Red Devils’ “top targets” this summer.

As his numbers suggest, the 23-year-old stood out at Everton this season:

The goal against Chelsea was indeed something to behold. After picking up the ball out wide, he cut in from the left and evaded Cesar Azpilicueta, John Obi Mikel and Gary Cahill before applying a cool finish. All-time Premier League top goalscorer Alan Shearer was impressed:
What a wonderful goal! Had a bit of everything about it. Pace, power, clinical. Brilliant #Lukaku #EFCvCHE #BBCFootball
