LAKE FOREST, Ill. — First-round pick Leonard Floyd admittedly has struggled to keep weight on, so the Chicago Bears designed a strength and nutrition program targeted to bulk up the lanky rookie outside linebacker.
“I’ve got prompts set up on my phone of times in the day that I’m supposed to eat,” Floyd said on Sunday. “I [have to] make sure I eat at the times when I get the alarm.”
Floyd said he is required to eat “every couple hours,” but he can sample a wide range of food options.
“Weight bar, protein shake, sandwich, anything … as long as I eat a lot of it,” Floyd said.
