Karl-Anthony Towns Reportedly Will Be Named 2015-16 NBA Rookie of the Year

Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns capped off a brilliant first season and reportedly will be named the 2015-16 NBA Rookie of the Year on Monday, according to ESPN’s Marc Stein and the Associated Press.
Towns, 20, appeared in all 82 games this season, averaging 18.3 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.7 blocks per game. In just his first season, he’s already established himself as Minnesota’s top player and the cornerstone of the franchise, along with fellow young star and last year’s Rookie of the Year, Andrew Wiggins.
