Green to start Monday for Yanks in debut

NEW YORK — Chad Green’s Major League career will officially begin Monday.
The 24-year-old, whom the Yankees acquired from the Tigers this offseason, will start Monday’s series opener against the D-backs, taking over for Michael Pineda. Pineda is a healthy scratch and will start Tuesday, pushing back Nathan Eovaldi to Wednesday. All indications are that Ivan Nova will pitch on regular rest Thursday and CC Sabathia will come off the disabled list to pitch on Friday.
