NEW YORK — Masahiro Tanaka wasn’t sharp for the second time in a row, but his teammates bailed him out again in a 7-5 victorySunday.
The New York Yankees’ ace gave up four runs on eight hits in just five innings of work, exiting with the Chicago White Sox leading 4-3. But Carlos Beltran’s 400th career homer in the sixth inning, a two-run shot, put the Yankees back in front 5-4.
