Once again, Red Sox rock Fenway, blast Astros

BOSTON — On April 27, before his team was about to begin a stretch in which it would play 18 of 27 games at home, Boston Red Sox manager John Farrell uttered these words:
“We want to make Fenway and our environment that we play in front of, certainly on our side, in some ways an intimidating factor.”
The Red Sox have gone 9-2 at Fenway since, finishing up a stat-stuffing 6-1 homestand with a 10-9 victory against the Houston Astros on Sunday afternoon. It’s hard to imagine that the Astros — or Oakland before them or upcoming home opponents Colorado and Cleveland — are actually shaking in their boots when they think of Fenway, but the results tell a story, as do the manner in which they came this past week.
