Manchester United Transfer News: Latest on Anthony Martial, David De Gea Rumours

Anthony Martial has maintained he’s happy at Manchester United amid reported interest from Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.

Former Monaco striker Martial only joined the Red Devils last summer, but reports have emerged that a number of clubs, including PSG, have recently approached his representatives.

Simon Jones of the Mail on Sunday provided details about the growing interest in United’s French forward:

Paris Saint-Germain have expressed an interest in Anthony Martial but the striker says he is happy at Manchester United.

Martial has been one of the few success stories for United this season and the club has no intention of selling the 19-year-old who cost them £36million from Monaco last summer.

Martial’s representatives have had approaches from different clubs to gauge how content he is at Old Trafford. PSG are considering alternatives to Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is to leave the French champions this summer with United his preferred option.

United’s reluctance to part ways with Martial so quickly is understandable considering the investment they made in him last summer, when the Old Trafford club paid Monaco £36 million.

It was a deal that made the then-19-year-old the most expensive teenager in world football, per BBC Sport, and one that could rise to £58 million depending on performance-related clauses.

Martial has shown the talent to eventually merit the inflated fee. His combination of pace and power hints at the world-class match-winner within.
