Arsenal vs. Aston Villa: Score, Reaction from 2016 Premier League Game

An Olivier Giroud hat-trick led Arsenal to a second-place Premier League finish on Sunday as the France hitman saw the Gunners to a 4-0 thumping of Aston Villa, while Tottenham Hotspur finished third after dropping 5-1 at Newcastle United.
A quick header from Giroud gave manager Arsene Wenger’s side an early lead, but the in-form frontman was made to wait until the final exchanges before he could fire in another two, while Villa stopper Mark Bunn scored an own goal.
Jack Wilshere completed 69 minutes for the home outfit, and Santi Cazorla made his first Premier League start since suffering a serious knee injury in November, playing 88 minutes.
Despite this being a tough season for Arsenal fans at times, football broadcaster Dan Levy presented evidence for the fans to be upbeat about:

Aston Villa arrived at the Emirates having kept just their sixth clean sheet of the league campaign last time out, where they drew at home to fellow relegated party Newcastle.
However, the Birmingham visitors quickly found their chances of replicating that feat in north London reduced to rubble after Giroud got free of his marker to divert home a fifth-minute header.
Villa stopper Bunn was left scrambling to his right after Nacho Monreal’s cross found the Frenchman in space, but there was too much power behind the effort as Arsenal raced ahead.
