Roger Federer: When mind’s willing, but body isn’t

Roger Federer is facing a re-occurrence of his back problem. As we saw during the Masters 1000 in Madrid, last week and in Rome, this week, the Swiss has had problems in his back, and needless to say, his tennis has suffered deeply. And this is just the latest of a series of problems in this cursed season till now for Roger. Before there was the operation to repair his torn meniscus post-Australian Open, and then there was the bout of gastroenteritis. Now back injury. The weather conditions in Rome also didn”t help him and his tennis. The continuous transition between sun and cloud, and the humidity and wind worsened his condition and his movements.
