Cecil ‘tender’ after 7-pitch outing

ARLINGTON — Blue Jays left-hander Brett Cecil felt “tender” after his outing against the Rangers on Saturday night, and he could be in need of a stint on the disabled list.
Cecil retired two of the three batters he faced in a 6-5 loss to Texas. He threw seven pitches, and Cecil informed the Blue Jays training staff after his outing that he felt some discomfort.
Toronto manager John Gibbons volunteered the information to reporters after the game but declined to get into specifics.
