D-backs’ late rally topped by Giants’ surge

PHOENIX — Buster Posey’s two-out, bases-loaded, two-run, ground-rule double off D-backs reliever Daniel Hudson in the top of the ninth gave the Giants a 5-3 victory Saturday at Chase Field as they took the first three games of a four-game series that ends here Sunday.
The Giants finally saw the Jake Peavy of old as the veteran right-hander three-hit the D-backs on one run for six innings in his best start of the 2016 season. But the bullpen couldn’t hold a two-run lead.
Peavy battled Arizona left-hander Patrick Corbin, who gave up three runs on eight hits in 6 1/3 innings. Hunter Pence had the big blow off him, a two-run homer in the fourth inning that broke a 1-1 tie and gave the Giants a two-run lead
