Thanks to Wrestling Inc. reader Ryan Rush for this report from Friday’s WWE NXT live event in Spokane, WA:
At the NXT event in Spokane, they had the tag line “Washington Warfare” and featured 7 matches.
No Way Jose def. Elias Sampson
Sampson gets lots of heat and Jose interrupts as he tries to sing a song. At the beginning, the match featured a lot of trading hammer locks and headlocks, crowd chanted “headlock city” at them. Jose got the win with his wind up punch followed by the cobra clutch slam.
Mojo Rawley def. Murphy
Murphy gets decent heat, Mojo gets a good crowd reaction and keeps crowd hyped during the match. Hard hitting match, Mojo tells Murphy “you get no chicks” and the crowd starts chanting “you get no chicks!” at Murphy throughout the rest of the match. Mojo wins with a move similar to the Broski Boot, but Murphy was standing and Mojo used his fist instead of his foot.
Bayley def. Nia Jax via roll up
Bayley got the biggest reaction of the night so far, Bayley really played to the crowd and made sure to give everyone wearing Bayley merchandise got some attention, she gave away her wrist streamers from her entrance to a little girl in front of me. Nia dominated the match for a while but Bayley held in there and got the win with a roll up. At one point she hit Nia with a Stunner between the top two ropes before hitting the dropkick between the bottom rope and the apron. Really good match here, Bayley with the win with a roll up after Nia ran face first into the turnbuckle.
Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura def. The Revival
Really great …
