Yankees’ dream bullpen trio becomes a reality

NEW YORK — So this is how it looks.
This is how the New York Yankees are set up, and this is their new reality, with Aroldis Chapman joining Andrew Miller and Dellin Betances at the back end of the bullpen. This is what the Yankees showed off, in Saturday’s 2-1 win over the Chicago White Sox.
Get a lead. Get the starting pitcher to hold it for a while, through the sixth inning if possible, but even that isn’t necessary anymore.
Then, let the show begin.

It was quite a show Saturday, with Betances, Miller and Chapman pitching in a game together for the first time. Between them, they faced 11 batters and struck out eight of them. The White Sox had just one hit once the bullpen got involved, and never got the tying run as far as second base.
Chapman threw 12 triple-digit fastballs, getting the requisite “oohs” from the crowd. And the only disappointment was that one guy put a ball in play off him (Brett Lawrie, who flied out to end the game) and two put it in play off Miller …
