Chapman’s impact felt as bullpen carries Yankees to win

NEW YORK — Aroldis Chapman doesn’t pitch until the ninth inning, but his presence was felt starting in the sixth inning Saturday.
Chapman’s addition to the New York Yankees bullpen this week gave manager Joe Girardi three elite back-end relievers. With all three rested and ready to go Saturday against the Chicago White Sox, Girardi pulled starter Ivan Nova two outs into the sixth inning, after just 74 pitches.
