2016 NCAA Division I Men’s Championship: Sooners eases past Mavericks to reach the second round

Oklahoma Sooners has vindicated their status of the favorites against unranked UT Arlington Mavericks at Headington Family Tennis Center in Norman, Oklahoma. The Sooners wasted no time on the court in the opening match of 2016 NCAA Division I Men’s Championship, going to the next round without lost set, and now will face Oregon who manages to stun Tulsa by 4-1. Oklahoma will play in the second round of the national Championship for the 5th straight time while the Mavericks ends their season here, and it was rather a historic one. For the first time in their history, UT Arlington claimed 18 wins in the season and this was their 5th trip to the NCAA Championship, the first in 10 years (they are still to make second round). The doubles point went to distance but in the end, the Sooners grabs it in the tie break of the third match!
