Jason Day would probably prefer a chance to increase his lead heading into Saturday, but he’ll have the lead regardless going into the third round of The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass.
The world’s No. 1 golfer heads into the weekend at 14 under par. Play was suspended due to darkness, and Day had four holes remaining in his second round.
Right behind Day is rising star Shane Lowry, who tied the course record with a back nine score of 29 on Thursday, and Jonas Blixt is currently four shots behind Day after shooting back-to-back five-under 67s.
