Real Madrid Transfer News: Latest Rumours, Huge Stars Wanted by Los Blancos

Eden Hazard’s chances of moving to La Liga reportedly hinge on Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at Real Madrid. If the latter joins Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea winger Hazard could be on his way to Spain.

La Liga expert Guillem Balague described the situation to Sky Sports:

It all depends on the transfer movements. Paris St-Germain are pushing for Cristiano Ronaldo to move to France.

Real Madrid think that if Ronaldo doesn’t go to PSG they will have to renew Ronaldo’s contract. If he stays on Hazard may not be the player they go for but they do need new players. It’s all still a bit up in the air.

Rumours of Ronaldo moving to the French capital have been growing recently.

His agent has reportedly met with PSG officials to discuss a deal, according to French publication Le Parisien (h/t Jack de Menezes of the Independent). But these talks are said to have been about a transfer in the summer of 2017, one year before Ronaldo’s current deal with Los Blancos is set to expire.

Ronaldo was even supposed to have travelled to Paris earlier this season to talk up a move, per France Football (h/t the Daily Mirror’s Neil McLeman).

Ronaldo fast-tracking joining PSG would put Hazard in play for Los Merengues. There’s been plenty of speculation linking Chelsea’s No. 10 with Real.

Last month, the player’s agent was even forced to deny a transfer had already been agreed, according to Adrian Kajumba of the Daily Mirror. Incoming Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is already trying to steer Hazard away from both Real and PSG, per the London Evening Standard’s Simon Johnson.
