Dinner is served after Ross Stripling beats Michael Wacha

LOS ANGELES — Since somebody else was buying, Ross Stripling was thinking lobster, thank you very much, after recording not only his first major league victory but his first major league hit as well.
That it came against good friend Michael Wacha of the St. Louis Cardinals only made it sweeter. The two were roommates the year after they left Texas A&M in 2012.
Stripling’s Dodgers beat Wacha’s Cardinals 8-4 on Friday in the opener of a three-game series, and Stripling plans to arrive for the second game Saturday well fed. The two had made a friendly wager on who would have the better day.
