Severino allows 7 runs, exits with trainer

NEW YORK — Yankees right-hander Luis Severino surrendered seven runs to the White Sox, then walked off the mound with head athletic trainer Steve Donohue in the third inning on Friday evening.
Severino had just surrendered a long two-run homer to Jimmy Rollins when he was visited on the mound by Donohue and Yankees manager Joe Girardi, who briefly conferred with Severino before making a pitching change.
The Yankees have not provided any further information about the injury.
