Brantley sits out third game with shoulder fatigue

CLEVELAND — Michael Brantley remained out of the starting lineup for the Indians on Friday, marking the third straight game the outfielder has missed due to right shoulder fatigue.
Manager Terry Francona indicated that Brantley was scheduled to have his shoulder, which was surgically repaired in November, re-examined by a team doctor prior to Friday’s game against the Twins. Francona added that Cleveland should have more information Saturday as to whether Brantley can resume hitting, or if more rest will be required for the left fielder.
Francona said that it was “a bit premature” to think Brantley will require a stint on the disabled list.
