Werdum praises Overeem for KO win, open to championship fight in future

Alistair Overeem’s stock continues to rise. After an anti-climatic opening stint with the UFC, ‘The Reem’ has reinvented himself at Jackson-Wink MMA Academy as one of the most technical heavyweights in the world.
Overeem extended his win streak to 4-0 last week, knocking out teammate Andrei Arlovski with a flamboyant front kick in the main event of UFC Fight Night 87.
Since the win, the K-1 World Grand Prix Champion has called out Fabricio Werdum. The two heavyweights are tied at 1-1, with Werdum submitting Overeem in 2006 and The Demolition Man avenging the loss in the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix quarter finals in 2011.
