Thomas Greiss is 1-0 for Germany at the IIHF World Championships, beating Belarus 5-2 on Friday afternoon.
Greiss, who joined the tournament late because of the Islanders’ playoff run, made 16 saves in the win, improving Germany to 2-0-1-2 (W-OTW-OTL-L) in five preliminary games. The win was Germany’s first …
