Terry mulls over ‘different role’

John Terry says he will take his time on whether to accept Chelsea’s offer of a new one-year deal and a “different role”.
Terry’s contract deal is up in the summer, and the club’s most decorated captain revealed at the start of February there was no new offer on the table.
A Chelsea statement at the time said “the channels of dialogue” would be kept open but on Friday the club revealed the former England skipper was considering the offer of a 12-month extension.
On Friday evening, the 35-year-old took to Instagram to reveal his thoughts. He said: “Thanks to everyone for the kind wishes.
