Rangers call up former No. 1 pick Bush

ARLINGTON — The Rangers on Friday will purchase the contract of right-handed reliever Matt Bush — the first overall pick in the MLB Draft 12 years ago — from Double-A Frisco. In a corresponding move, Texas optioned outfielder Delino DeShields to Triple-A Round Rock.
The 30-year-old Bush, who signed with the Rangers as a free agent last offseason, was 0-2 with a 2.65 ERA in 12 games for Frisco. In 17 innings, he has allowed nine hits, four walks and struck out 18.
