Liverpool Transfer News: Kevin Volland Linked, Latest Reds Rumours

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is reportedly set to move to sign Hoffenheim forward Kevin Volland for a bargain £14.1 million fee.
That’s according to SportBild (h/t Alex Harris of the Daily Star), who reported that while Wolfsburg and newly promoted RB Leipzig are also in the hunt, the Reds boss is a big fan of the forward. Volland is said to have a release clause in his contract that would see him depart for the aforementioned sum.
The Hoffenheim man has been a bright spot in a disappointing season for the club, who have flirted with the relegation zone for spells. Here is a look at some of his best moments from 2015-16:

For the kind of price mentioned, it would be no surprise if there was genuine interest from Liverpool in the player, as he ticks a lot of the boxes that Klopp looks for.
A £14.1 million fee would get Liverpool a forward who is very adaptable in his role on the field. Volland is at his most comfortable through the middle of the pitch and has taken on more responsibility this term following the sale of Roberto Firmino to the Reds.
