Global Poker Index: Erik Seidel Charges Back into Top 10; O’Dwyer Still Leads

Each week, the Global Poker Index releases a list of the top tournament poker players in the world using a formula that takes into account a player’s results over six half-year periods. For a look at the entire list, visit the official GPI website. Here’s a look at the rankings as of May 11, 2016.
GPI 300 Top 10
The 2016 PokerStars and Monte-Carlo® Casino EPT Grand Final is done and Steve O’Dwyer remains the top-ranked tournament player in the world for an 18th-straight week according to the Global Poker Index.
O’Dwyer made the money in two events in Monaco — the €50,000 Super High Roller (finishing ninth) and the €25,750 High Roller (finishing 31st) — though neither cash earned him GPI points to use as only the top five results from each six-month period (going back three years) factor into a player’s total.
