O’Dowda gets Ireland call-up

Oxford’s Callum O’Dowda has been named in the Republic of Ireland squad for a friendly against Netherlands on May 27.
The U21 winger, who helped Oxford win promotion to League One this season, is the only uncapped player in Martin O’Neill’s initial 35-man party for the Dublin game.
O’Neill is due to name his 23-man squad for Euro 2016 the following day ahead of a May 31 friendly against Belarus in Cork.
