Dominic Thiem scored one of the biggest wins of his career, beating Roger Federer 7-6 6-4 in an hour and 18 minutes to reach the quarter-final in Rome. Despite the troubles he had this week, Roger stayed in touch throughout the bigger part of the match, but it wasn’t enough in the end against inspired opponent.
