Dustin Pedroia at center of another double-digit Red Sox attack

BOSTON — It was an offensive assault nine years in the making.
Jackie Bradley Jr. continued his ridiculous surge with two more home runs and six more RBIs and extended his hitting streak to 17 games, a stretch in which he’s 26-for-54 with 14 extra-base hits. Travis Shaw reached base three more times. And the Boston Red Sox pummeled the poor Oakland Athletics into submission for a third game in a row, a 13-3 victory Wednesday night at Fenway Park, completing a sweep in which the Sox scored 40 runs.
