Pitino offers 2 scholarship hits to fulfill sanctions

Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino said Wednesday that he would like to see his program use one, possibly two, 2016 scholarships to help satisfy the school’s self-imposed sanctions for its recruiting scandal.
Louisville is being investigated by the NCAA after a book by self-described former escort Katina Powell detailed payments to her by a former graduate assistant to provide strippers and sex at parties for recruits visiting campus.
