Neal recalled to add depth to depleted ‘pen

BOSTON — Zach Neal, a right-handed starter largely under the radar at Triple-A Nashville, was asked late Tuesday night if he’d mind pitching in the bullpen for the Sounds.
Neal obliged, then was told, “Actually, you’re going to go do it at Fenway.”
“And I lost it,” Neal recalled Wednesday afternoon, after joining the A’s in Boston for his first trip to the big leagues. “It was a cool moment, for sure.”
