Uncharacteristic wildness costs Latos in start

ARLINGTON — Starter Mat Latos stayed undefeated despite the White Sox 6-5 loss to the Rangers on Wednesday, but he assessed his seventh start of the season fairly harshly.
Latos issued a career-high five walks and allowed five earned runs in 5 1/3 innings
“Pretty terrible,” Latos said of his no-decision. “Walking four guys [plus one intentionally], not giving our defense a chance to make plays and help me out. I was able to get out of a couple of jams I put myself in. [But] some costly walks and they took advantage of it. I did not pitch well at all.”
