Ryan Lochte, Katie Ledecky Headline Separate Tuneup Events in American South

The American South will be worth watching this weekend as a healthy number of top United States athletes race in their latest tuneups for next month’s Olympic Trials in Omaha. In addition to the USA Swimming Pro Series stop in Charlotte, the Atlanta Classic will take place on the campus of Georgia Tech University.
In Charlotte, which has long been a site of springtime action, Ryan Lochte is slated to headline the field and is entered in seven events. Also in the water will be Conor Dwyer and Tyler Clary, along with Dana Vollmer. All have captured Olympic medals in their careers, and they’ll be joined by the likes of Katie Meili, Lily King and Jamaican Alia Atkinson, who figure …
