Tough defeat for Victoria Azarenka, who lost 6/3 6/2 against Irina Begu. Last week, the World No. 5 retired from Madrid due to a back injury and still now her condition hasn’t improved: ‘I was trying but it didn’t work. Not good right now. We’ll see what happens. I don’t know what to tell you. I’m very disappointed obviously with that. I thought I was okay and was ready to play and came back, so I’m just disappointed. Am I ready for the French Open? We’ll see what happens. I’m not going to think about future.’
