Rangers beat Spurs XI in friendly

Rangers manager Mark Warburton was delighted with his side’s performance in a 4-3 win over a Tottenham XI in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Hotspur Way on Wednesday.
Warburton and his players were given the hospitality of Spurs’ state-of-the-art training facility near Enfield as they prepare for next Saturday’s Scottish Cup final against Hibernian, live on Sky Sports 1HD.
The Spurs side was mainly made up of youth players and returning loanees, but Warburton insists they provided a tough test in good conditions.
First-half goals from Dean Shiels and James Tavernier put the visitors 2-0 up at the interval before Spurs hit back after the break, but Martyn Waghorn and Nicky Clark sealed victory for the Gers.
