Bills to retire Smith’s No. 78 at home opener
- Updated: May 11, 2016
For 19 years, Bruce Smith made the lives of NFL quarterbacks and offensive linemen miserable. The No. 1 overall pick of the 1985 draft, Smith spent the first 15 years of his career racking up sacks for the Buffalo Bills, who announced Tuesday morning that they will retire his No. 78 jersey at their 2016 home opener.
