Sunderland took a big step towards Premier League survival with a crucial 3-2 victory over Chelsea at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.
The win lifted Sam Allardyce’s men above Newcastle, who dropped back into the bottom three as they were held to a goalless draw by relegated Aston Villa.
