Novak Djokovic: ‘I’m focused only on Rome. Fab Four dominance? Young guys will be a challenge for us’

Novak Djokovic is ready to defend his title in Rome, a tournament where he won in 2014 and 2015. The Serb, who won Madrid beating Andy Murray in the final, is not tired. Asked about how he feels, Novak said: ‘Good. It is not the first time that I’m playing back-to-back weeks, so I’m just hoping I can carry on the high quality of performances I have had throughout the week in Madrid and also this week in Rome, you know, find that freshness and get as far as I can. Roland Garros? It’s not right now to speak about other events, I’m focused only on Rome.’ Djokovic also spoke about the separation between Murray and Mauresmo. He understands the French coach, who cannot travel much because she is a mother: ‘I don’t know exactly the particularity of the relationship between Andy and Amélie, but certainly it is, you know, a challenge to organize properly the time spent on the tour for the former players that also have their own, you know, families and private lives and different things.
