Welcome to DraftKings fantasy baseball, the Official Daily Fantasy Game of Major League Baseball.
The players listed below could provide difference-making stats for DraftKings participants on Wednesday.
Nolan Arenado: In his career, Arenado has fared best when facing left-handers (.291/.355/.534 slash line) and batting at his hitter-friendly home park (.309/.349/.569 slash line). The third baseman may be worth a major expenditure in DraftKings contests when he competes at Coors Field against D-backs southpaw Robbie Ray (career 4.43 ERA, 1.47 WHIP).
Ryan Raburn: The outfielder has thrived vs. lefties since the outset of ’15, hitting 1.055 OPS in matchups against them. At his hitter-friendly home venue on Wednesday, he could thrive in a matchup against the southpaw Ray, who in his career has allowed right-handed hitters such as Raburn to produce an .817 OPS (.702 OPS allowed to lefty batters).
Odubel Herrera: Herrera could improve upon his lifetime .799 OPS against right-handers (.745 vs. lefties) when he faces righty Jhoulys Chacin (5.40 ERA, 1.39 WHIP in 2016) and a Braves bullpen that ranks 26th in the Majors with a 4.73 ERA. As a big leaguer, Chacin has allowed left-handed batters such as Herrera to post a .765 OPS (.663 OPS allowed to righty batters).
David Peralta: The outfielder has produced pronounced career splits, with an .888 OPS against right-handers that exceeds his .613 mark vs. lefties. Peralta could have a great game when he bats at homer-happy Coors Field against righty Chad Bettis (career 5.07 ERA, 1.50 WHIP) and a Rockies relief corps that ranks 27th in the Majors with a 4.75 ERA.
Jake Lamb: The third-year third baseman has logged a lifetime .769 OPS against right-handers in comparison to his .560 mark vs. lefties. Lamb could drive in multiple runs when he tangles with the right-handed Bettis (4.40 ERA in 2016) and an unreliable Rockies bullpen.
John Jaso: The first baseman has long fared best vs. right-handers, against whom he has a lifetime .798 OPS (.547 vs. lefties). Jaso could reach base often and score multiple runs when he bats at hitter-friendly Great American Ball Park against righty Alfredo Simon (career 4.33 …
